Today, when I was installing Steam client by Valve to download the free Alien Swarm game, Steam showed an error saying “Steam is temporarily unavailable, please try later” while updating steam automatically after install.

You can try these: https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/64881674... All we need to do is manually change the server location, which steam uses to update itself.Follow the steps below carefully: Open and browse to C:\Program Files\Steam\ and open the file named ‘Client Registry.blob’. Double-click the entry Cell Id, shown in the right pane and change its numeric value to anywhere between 1-90.Locate the wireless driver in Device Manager and proceed with either of these options and the problem should be taken care of once you reinstall Steam again. If the issue is with your computer or a laptop/notebook you should try using the Reimage Plus Software which can scan the repositories and replace corrupt and missing files.

If the issue is with your computer or a laptop/notebook you should try using the Reimage Plus Software which can scan the repositories and replace corrupt and missing files.

If the above option doesn’t work, you can try resetting the Steam configuration in the following way: You just have to click OK, since this is precisely what you want, and your downloads should resume right away.
